Do you specialize in specific hair textures?
Absolutely. We are experts in Afro and Caribbean hair textures, ranging from 3A to 4C curls. Whether you are transitioning from relaxed hair, maintaining locs, or looking for a protective style, we understand the unique structural needs of your hair.
What is the difference between Knotless Braids and Traditional Box Braids?
Knotless braids start with your natural hair and feed the synthetic hair in as we braid, resulting in less tension on the scalp and a lighter, more natural look. Traditional box braids involve knotting the extension hair at the root, which offers a bit more durability but can be heavier.
How long does a typical installation appointment take?
Timing varies by style and hair length. For example, a Sew-in Weave or Wig Install typically takes 3 to 4 hours, while intricate Knotless Braids can take between 4 to 6 hours. We recommend bringing a book or downloading a movie!
Do I need a consultation before booking?
For chemical services (relaxers, texturizers, colour corrections) or major restorative work, a mandatory consultation is required. For braids, weaves, and press-and-curls, you can book directly, but feel free to send us a photo of your current hair via WhatsApp if you are unsure.
Do you provide the hair for extensions and weaves?
We offer a Premium Human Hair package where we source the hair for you, or a Installation Only package if you prefer to bring your own bundles. We stock a variety of textures, including Brazilian, Peruvian, and Raw Afro textures.
I have sensitive skin; do you use products for eczema or psoriasis?
Yes, we are very mindful of scalp health. We use hypoallergenic, sulfate-free products and soothing oils (like Tea Tree and Jojoba). Please inform us during your booking if you have a scalp condition so we can prepare the appropriate products.
What is your deposit and cancellation policy?
To secure your appointment, we require a non-refundable 50% deposit. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours will forfeit the deposit.
Where is the salon located, and is there parking?
We are located in the heart of South East London (Insert Your Address). We are a short walk from the [Insert Local Station, e.g., Overground/DLR]. There is paid street parking available directly in front of the salon.
Can I get a Silk Press on relaxed hair?
Yes, we can perform a Silk Press on relaxed hair that is in good condition. However, if there is significant breakage or product buildup at the line of demarcation, we may recommend a trim or a lighter treatment to protect your hair integrity.
